Elevated Cable Rows

How to do it

Same as the seated row but with a wide bar and an overhand grip. Pull to your upper abdomen or sternum with elbows out at roughly 45 degrees. The wide grip moves the work to the upper back and rhomboids rather than the lats. You feel it between the shoulder blades. Careful not to shrug towards your ears: blades down.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
