Tricep Dumbbell Kickback

How to do it

Torso bent over with the arm against your side and the elbow at hip height. Extend the elbow back until your forearm lines up with your body and squeeze for a second. Resistance peaks right at the end with the triceps contracted: this is a light finisher, not a loading exercise. You feel it a lot at lockout. The classic mistake is moving the shoulder up and down.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
