Hanging Leg Raise
Core · Bodyweight
How to do it
Hanging from the bar, raise straight legs until your **toes touch the bar**, curling the pelvis at the top. Lower under control and kill the swing between reps. It is the full version of the leg raise: it needs abs, grip and some hamstring mobility. You feel the whole abdomen and the lats.
Variants
The drawing is a hanging leg raise, which is as far as most people go. Here you do not stop at horizontal: the toes go up to the bar.
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
