Straight-Arm Dumbbell Pullover
Chest · Dumbbell
How to do it
Lie on the bench holding one dumbbell with both hands over your chest, elbows slightly bent. Take the weight behind your head while breathing in and **expanding the ribcage**, until you feel the pull through chest and lats. Come back without bending the elbows further. This is a loaded stretch, not a strength lift: moderate weight and control. The classic mistake is arching the lower back to reach further.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
