Seated Barbell Military Press
Shoulders · Barbell
How to do it
Bench with the back almost vertical, around 80 degrees, back supported and feet planted. Bar at upper chest and press straight up to extension without slamming the lockout. Seated you do not have to stabilise your body, so nearly all the effort goes to the shoulder: it is the better version for size. You feel front and side delt. Careful not to peel your lower back off the pad.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
