Leg Press
Legs · Machine · one side at a time
How to do it
Same as the leg press but one leg at a time, foot centred on the platform. It fixes side-to-side differences and reaches a range your hips will not allow with two legs. You feel the quad of that leg and a fair bit of glute. Far less than half your bilateral weight: that is normal.
Variants
The drawing is the two-leg press. Here you do one leg at a time, foot in the middle of the platform and well under half the weight.
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
