Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown
Back · Cable
How to do it
Set the thigh pad so you stay in the seat. Overhand grip slightly wider than your shoulders. Before you pull, **pull your shoulders down** and lift your chest; then bring the bar to your upper chest driving the elbows down and back. Return under control letting the arms fully straighten and the lats stretch with them. You feel it from armpit to waist. The classic mistake is leaning back and turning it into a row.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
