Hanging Pike
Core · Bodyweight
How to do it
Seated on the floor or supported on parallel bars, hands beside your hips, push down to lift your body and raise straight legs to horizontal, making an L. **Shoulders depressed** (away from your ears) and legs fully straight. You feel abs, triceps and quads. Start with bent knees and straighten over time.
Variants
The drawing hangs from a bar. The classic L-sit is on the floor or on parallel bars: hands beside the hips, shoulders down, legs straight.
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
