Wide Stance Stiff Legs

How to do it

Bar on the floor. **Very wide** stance with toes slightly out, hinging at the hips to grip inside your legs. Hips as far back as possible and **knees only just unlocked**. Stand by extending the hips with a flat back and lower under control until you feel the stretch through the adductors and hamstrings. A wide stance with a stiff leg stretches the inner thigh like nothing else. **Light to begin with.** The classic mistake is bending the knees to reach the bar.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
