Weighted Sit-Ups - With Bands
Core · Other
How to do it
Tie the bands to the base of a decline bench with the handles running inside. Lie back with your feet anchored and take a handle in each hand beside your shoulders. Curl up **against the band** and lower slowly without letting it snap you back. The band bites harder the higher you get, which is where a normal sit-up becomes easy. The classic mistake is pulling with your arms: the hands only hold, and once the elbows extend you are doing a pulldown.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
