Suspended Push-Up

How to do it

Anchor the straps high and take a handle in each hand, leaning forward until you are as close to parallel with the floor as you can control, arms straight and body rigid. Lower slowly, letting the elbows pass 90 degrees — that is the range a normal push-up cannot give you — and press, bringing your hands slightly together at the end. The straps move, so the chest works while the shoulder stabilises non-stop. The classic mistake is dropping the chest before the hips: the whole body goes down as one plank.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
