Stiff Leg Barbell Good Morning

How to do it

Bar on your upper back, just below the neck, feet at hip width and **knees nearly straight**, only just unlocked. Take a breath, brace and push your hips back as your torso tips forward with a flat back, until you feel the hamstrings pull; come up squeezing the glutes. With the knee straight the hamstrings take the whole stretch and the range is short. **Light and slow**: this is one of the lifts where a rounded back is expensive. The classic mistake is going lower than your hamstrings allow.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
