Side To Side Chins

How to do it
Wide overhand grip, arms straight, torso leaning back slightly and chest out. Pull **towards one side**, bringing that shoulder to the bar until your chin reaches its height; lower and repeat to the other side. Shifting sideways puts most of the load on one lat, which makes this a step towards the one-arm chin-up. The classic mistake is leaning sideways without really pulling: your chest has to reach bar height on every rep, not just your head.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
