Reverse Grip Triceps Pushdown
Triceps · Cable
How to do it
Straight or EZ bar on a high pulley taken with an **underhand grip**, palms up, at shoulder width. Stand facing the pulley with your elbows tucked. Press down extending the forearm to full lockout, squeeze for a second and return slowly to 90 degrees. The reverse grip loads the medial head a little more and forces you to drop the weight. The classic mistake is letting the elbow drift forward: it stays pinned to your side all set.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
