Reverse Band Sumo Deadlift

How to do it

Bar on the floor inside the rack with bands anchored at the top and tied to it. Sumo stance: feet wide with toes out, hands gripping inside your legs. Hips low, chest up, and pull by driving your knees out as you extend the hips. The band helps at the bottom, which in sumo is exactly where almost everyone stalls, and disappears at the top. The classic mistake is getting sloppy with the start position because the break is assisted: that first part is built just as carefully.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
