Push-Ups With Feet On An Exercise Ball

How to do it

Same as the feet-elevated push-up, but with your toes on an exercise ball. Hands slightly wider than your shoulders, body straight, glutes squeezed. Lower slowly until you almost touch the floor and press. The ball moves, so half the job is keeping the hips from drifting sideways: that is pure core work. You feel the upper chest and the midsection the whole time. The classic mistake is placing your feet too far onto the ball; the further the ankle is from the contact point, the steadier it is, and that is where to start.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
