One-Arm Kettlebell Split Snatch
Shoulders · Kettlebell
How to do it
Kettlebell on the floor to one side. Squat to grip it and extend hips, knees and ankles hard to send it up; as it travels, **split your feet** and drop under to catch it with a locked elbow overhead. Recover by bringing your feet together. It is the snatch with the lowest catch position there is, so it takes more weight but demands balance. The classic mistake is splitting before the bell has travelled: you send it first, then you go under.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
