One-Arm High-Pulley Cable Side Bends

How to do it

Handle on the highest pulley and stand side-on, the arm nearest the cable extended overhead holding it. **Bend to the opposite side** at the waist, pulling the cable down with your flank, and return under control without letting the cable snap you back. From above, the angle stretches the oblique before it contracts, which a dumbbell side bend does not. The classic mistake is pulling with your arm: the arm stays straight and the torso does the bending.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
