Narrow Stance Leg Press
Legs · Machine
How to do it
Sit in the press and place your feet on the platform **closer than shoulder width**, mid-height. Release the safeties and lower by bending the knees to about 90 degrees, or as far as you can without your hips leaving the seat; drive through the whole foot without locking out at the end. A narrow stance loads the outer quad and leaves almost all the glute out. The classic mistake is going so low that your lower back lifts off the pad: that is your spine rounding under the whole stack.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
