Leverage Deadlift
Legs · Machine
How to do it
Stand in the middle of the machine between the handles. Grip the lower handles comfortably and lower your hips as you breathe in, eyes forward and chest up. Drive through your heels extending hips and knees to standing, and lower under control. The machine carries the load in line with your body and there is no bar to clear, so your back works in a far more comfortable position. It is the deadlift for loading hard with a grumpy lower back. The classic mistake is bouncing the weight off the stops.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
