Leg Lift
Glutes · Bodyweight
How to do it
Stand with your feet together at shoulder width, holding something solid with one hand for balance. With a **straight knee**, take one leg back as far as it goes, squeezing the glute for a second at the top, and return slowly without putting the foot down. Do all the reps on one side and swap. It is the simplest glute exercise there is and you can do it anywhere. The classic mistake is arching your lower back to get the leg further: the extension ends where the hip ends.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
