Kettlebell Turkish Get-Up (Squat style)
Shoulders · Kettlebell
How to do it
Same as the lunge-style get-up until you stand, but without passing through a knee: from the seated position with your hand braced, **tuck both feet under you and stand out of a squat**. It asks for far more ankle and hip mobility than the lunge version, which is why it is learned second. The arm stays locked and your eyes stay on the bell throughout. The classic mistake is attempting this before owning the lunge version: if mobility is short, the shoulder holding the weight is what compensates.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
