Kettlebell Thruster
Shoulders · Kettlebell
How to do it
Clean both kettlebells to your shoulders and let them rest on your forearms. Do a full squat keeping your chest up and, **with no pause at the top**, use the drive out of the squat to press them overhead to locked elbows. Lower to the shoulders and chain the next rep. It is a squat and a press welded together, so the limit ends up being your breathing, not your strength. The classic mistake is separating the two: stand up fully before pressing and you lose the drive, leaving the shoulders to do all of it.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
