Kettlebell Figure 8
Core · Kettlebell
How to do it
Kettlebell between your legs, stance wider than your shoulders. Hinge with a flat back and **pass the bell behind one leg, catch it with the other hand in front, and repeat on the other side**, drawing a figure eight. Your torso does not turn: what moves is your arms around a solid trunk. You feel the core resisting rotation, and your grip. The classic mistake is standing up between passes: the torso stays hinged for the whole set.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
