Hip Lift with Band
Glutes · Band
How to do it
Anchor a band to the sides of the rack at hip height and lie on your back in the middle with the band **across your pelvis** and your knees bent, feet down. Drive your hips towards the ceiling against the band until knees, hips and shoulders are in line, squeeze the glutes for a second at the top and lower under control. The band bites hardest at the top, where the glute contracts. The classic mistake is pushing with your lower back: ribs down and chin tucked.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
