Front Cable Raise
Shoulders · Cable
How to do it
Pulley at the bottom and a single handle in one hand. Face away from the tower with the cable running between your legs or past your side, arm hanging down. With the elbow slightly bent and fixed, raise the arm in front to shoulder height and lower slowly without losing tension. Unlike a dumbbell, there is real load at the very bottom, which is where a dumbbell weighs nothing. You feel the front delt. The classic mistake is leaning back to get the arm up: the torso stays upright.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
