Dumbbell Incline Shoulder Raise
Shoulders · Dumbbell · ×2 dumbbells
You hold two: the weight you log is ONE dumbbell's, and volume counts both.
How to do it
Sit on an incline bench with a dumbbell in each hand and bring them over your shoulders with your arms **straight and locked**. Without bending the elbow, push the dumbbells a few centimetres higher by letting the shoulder blades come off the bench, hold a second and return letting them settle. It is the same serratus work as the barbell version, but each side moves freely and you notice which blade tracks worse. The classic mistake is bending the elbow: bend it and it is a press, and the serratus loses its job.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
