Decline Oblique Crunch
Core · Bodyweight
How to do it
Lock your legs into the decline bench and lie back. Hands beside your head. Curl up and, at the same time, **rotate your torso bringing one elbow towards the opposite knee**; lower slowly and alternate. The decline adds your torso's weight from the first degree, so the obliques work from the very bottom. The classic mistake is turning your neck instead of your torso: your head follows your chest, never the other way round.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
