Clock Push-Up
Chest · Bodyweight
How to do it
Get into a push-up position with hands slightly wider than your shoulders and a straight body. Lower your chest, and on the way up push hard enough that your hands leave the floor and land about a foot to one side; the outside foot travels with you. Keep turning the same way, like the hours on a clock. You should feel power from the chest and triceps, and the abs holding the body straight mid-air. The classic mistake is doing it tired: the moment you stop leaving the floor it is just a push-up, and all you are doing is punishing your wrists.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
