How to do it
Standing, hold a plate with both hands like a steering wheel, at three and nine o'clock, palms facing each other and arms straight out in front at shoulder height. Turn the plate side to side as if driving, without letting your arms drop. The work is double: the front delt holds the weight isometrically while the forearm turns it. **A light plate is plenty**: fifteen kilos at arm's length is a lot more than it looks. The classic mistake is letting your arms sag mid-set for a rest.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
