Cable Seated Crunch

How to do it

Sit on a bench with your back to a high pulley with a rope. Grip the rope with both hands and hold it beside your face. **Curl your spine bringing your sternum towards your pelvis** without moving your hips, and return slowly letting the cable stretch you out. The range belongs to the spine, not the hip: bend from the hip and the abs stop working. Seated, it is easier to isolate than kneeling. The classic mistake is pulling with your arms, which only hold the rope.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
