Cable Preacher Curl

How to do it

Set a preacher bench half a metre from a low pulley with a straight bar. Rest the backs of your arms on the pad with your armpits wedged at the top, and grip the bar underhand. Curl by bending the elbow and lower **to a full stretch without the stack resting**. Unlike a free bar, the cable keeps tension at the bottom, where a normal preacher curl has nothing left. The classic mistake is lifting your elbow off the pad at the end of the range.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
