Butt-Ups

How to do it

Get into a forearm plank with your elbows at 90 degrees and your body straight. From there, **lift your hips towards the ceiling** driving your shoulders back, into an inverted V, and return to the plank under control. It is a plank with movement: it works the abs plus the serratus and shoulder stabilising the switch. The classic mistake is bending the knees as the hips rise; the legs stay straight and what moves is the hips over your elbows.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
