How to do it
Put two equally loaded EZ bars on the floor, parallel and free to roll. Get into a push-up position with one hand on each bar, body straight from heels to head. Let the bars roll apart slowly as your arms open, elbows almost straight, as far as you can still control; breathe in there and pull them back together with your chest. You should feel the chest stretching and the abs working so the hips do not sag. The classic mistake is opening wider than you can close: start with a hand's width and earn the range.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
