Barbell Ab Rollout - On Knees
Core · Barbell
How to do it
Kneel with a barbell loaded with two or three kilos a side in front of you, gripped at shoulder width. Brace your abs and glutes and let the bar roll forward as your body extends, **holding the line from knees to head**, as far as you can still brake; pull back with your abs, not your arms. Start with a short range and earn more slowly. The classic mistake is letting the lower back go at the end: if the hips sag, you have already gone too far.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
