Front Barbell Squat
Legs · Barbell
How to do it
Bar on your front delts, elbows high and chest up: if the elbows drop, the bar goes. Descend vertically keeping the torso as upright as you can. With the load in front, the work shifts to the quads and away from the posterior chain, and the back takes less. You feel the quads badly. The classic mistake is dropping the elbows on the way up: the bar rolls off.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
