Dumbbell Shoulder Press

You hold two: the weight you log is ONE dumbbell's, and volume counts both.

How to do it

Seated with back support, dumbbells at ear height, palms forward, elbows slightly in front of your body rather than flared straight out. Press bringing them a little together at the top without clanking, and lower until your hands are at chin height or a touch below. You feel the whole shoulder; dumbbells allow a more natural path than a bar. The classic mistake is flaring the elbows fully, which loads the joint without adding muscle.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
