Barbell Incline Bench Press - Medium Grip
Chest · Barbell
How to do it
Set the bench between 25 and 35 degrees, no more: past 40 the work moves to the shoulder and it stops being a chest press. Grip slightly wider than your shoulders, blades pinched and down. Lower the bar to your collarbone line, not to the sternum, with elbows slightly ahead of the torso. Press straight up without letting the blades come off the bench. You should feel it in the upper chest, right under the collarbone. The classic mistake is raising the bench thinking it hits higher: all that rises is the front delt's share.
