Straight-Arm Pulldown

How to do it

Standing facing the high pulley with a straight bar or rope, arms nearly straight and torso hinged forward from the hips. Sweep the bar down in an arc to your thighs **without bending the elbows** and squeeze the lats at the end. Return letting your arms travel above your head. It is the best lat isolation there is: the biceps take no part. You feel it under the armpit.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
