Standing Low-Pulley Deltoid Raise

How to do it

Low pulley, standing side-on with the cable crossing in front of you and the handle in the outside hand. Raise the arm to horizontal with the elbow nearly fixed. The cable gives **tension from the first centimetre**, exactly where a dumbbell gives nothing, which is why it is the best version for the side delt. You feel the mid delt through the whole range. Body still: if you sway, use less weight.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
