How to do it
Set two flat benches shoulder width apart and stand on them with a dip belt and the weight hanging between them. Squat letting the weight travel down through the gap, as far as the range allows, and stand. With the load hanging from your hips rather than your back, **your spine carries nothing**: it is one of the few ways to work legs with a tired back. The classic mistake is setting the benches too close and the plate hitting; check the gap unloaded first.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
