Standing Palms-In Dumbbell Press
Shoulders · Dumbbell · ×2 dumbbells
You hold two: the weight you log is ONE dumbbell's, and volume counts both.
How to do it
Standing with feet at shoulder width and a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height, **palms facing each other**. Brace abs and glutes and press up keeping the neutral grip, until the dumbbells nearly touch at the top; lower to chin height. With palms turned in the elbows travel in front of your body instead of flared, and the shoulder works in its most comfortable position. The classic mistake is letting the elbows flare mid-set when it gets heavy: once they flare, it is a different exercise.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
