Standing Cable Chest Press
Chest · Cable
How to do it
Pulleys at chest height, a handle in each hand, facing away from the station with one foot forward so you do not wobble. Elbows around 90 degrees and blades pinched. Press forward, bringing your hands together at the end, and return without losing tension, keeping the body still. Standing up, the core works as hard as the chest, because the cable is pulling you backwards the whole time. The classic mistake is stepping or leaning forward to manage the weight: if the torso moves, the weight is too much.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
