Squat with Bands

How to do it

Attach bands from the sleeves to the base of the rack with enough tension. Unrack onto your upper back and squat normally: hips back and down past parallel, then stand. The band is light at the bottom and heavy at the top, so **you cannot coast once past the sticking point**: you have to accelerate all the way. It also speeds you up on the descent, so control matters more than ever. The classic mistake is dropping into it trusting the band's rebound.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
