Smith Incline Shoulder Raise
Shoulders · Barbell
How to do it
Incline bench under the guided bar, at a height you can reach lying down with your arms nearly straight. Unhook and hold the bar with **locked elbows**. Without bending them, push the bar a few centimetres higher by letting the shoulder blades come off the bench, hold a second and return. The guide keeps the bar on its path, so you can focus only on moving the blade, which is what trains the serratus. The classic mistake is bending the elbow: bend it and it is half a press.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
