Sled Row

How to do it

Attach two handles to the sled with rope or chain, face it and back up until the line is tight. Knees slightly bent, chest and head up, arms extended. Row with the elbows going back to your ribs, then step backwards to regain tension and repeat. With no eccentric — the sled does not pull back — you can do a lot of volume without soreness, which is exactly what it is for: pumping blood into the back on a recovery day. The classic mistake is loading it as if you were going to drag it.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
