Side Laterals to Front Raise
Shoulders · Dumbbell · ×2 dumbbells
You hold two: the weight you log is ONE dumbbell's, and volume counts both.
How to do it
Standing with a dumbbell in each hand at your sides and the elbow slightly bent. Raise your arms **in front** to shoulder height, lower them, then raise the same arms **out to the sides** to the same height. Those two are one rep. Chaining both directions works the front and side delt with no rest, which is why it burns with very little weight. The classic mistake is using your normal raise weight: with double the work per rep, it has to come down a lot.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
