Seated Band Hamstring Curl

How to do it

Anchor the band near the floor and set a bench a couple of paces away. Sit down and hook the band behind your ankles, legs extended towards the anchor. Bend your knees bringing your heels towards the bench, hold a second squeezing the hamstrings and extend slowly without letting the band drag you. The band is hardest the more you bend, which is where the hamstring contracts. It is a leg curl with no machine. The classic mistake is leaning back to help: your torso stays still.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
