Runner's Stretch

How to do it

It's easiest to get into this stretch if you start standing up, put one leg behind you, and slowly lower your torso down to the floor. Keep the front heel on the floor (if it lifts up, scoot your other leg further back). Place your hands on either side of your front leg.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
