How to do it
Grip a ring in each hand and hop up until your arms are straight and the rings are at your sides. Lower until the elbow passes 90 degrees keeping **your torso as upright as possible and your elbows tucked**, and press to lockout, turning your hands out slightly at the top. The rings move, so the shoulder works twice as hard to stabilise. It is considerably harder than parallel bars: **own those first**. The classic mistake is letting the rings drift apart.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
